The Daily Scroll – Help in Vain

Do you ever feel like the work you do is in vain? Maybe you work with children in church only to see them grow up to be wild teenagers getting in trouble. Maybe you have a child that you did your best to raise in the fear and admonition of the Lord, yet when they grew up they actually resented and  hated you. You know, we’re living in the last days, the days that the Bible said that these thing will happen. Don’t be discouraged. Like Moses, your intentions were good and your work is not in vain. Without your help, the child would never even have a chance. In time it’ll pay off. They’ll come back.

“One day when Moses was forty years old, he decided to visit his relatives, the people of Israel. He saw an Egyptian mistreating an Israelite. So Moses came to the man’s defense and avenged him, killing the Egyptian. Moses assumed his fellow Israelites would realize that God had sent him to rescue them, but they didn’t.“ (Acts 7:23-25)
